This collection includes a handful of my personal favourites.
Self explanatory style but I'd like to point out how much you can change the mood of a capture just by changing to B&W. The artistic feel to this style makes you appreciate different aspects which you might not see in full colour.
One of my favorite styles of photography. The pursuit of a worthy shot usually involves an adventure which makes it that much more satisfying in the end. It can be extremely challenging trying to time the light, wind, waves and other elements to create the perfect capture.
Similar to sports photography shooting flora and fauna can have its challenges including wind, currents, and also the element of surprise. Most of these shots were captured in Central and South America.
With the use of Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom I enjoy creating images with bold colors and high contrast to create scenes that are slightly out of the ordinary but visually appealing
Capturing a subject in action can be quite challenging at times but when you're setup in the right spot with the right settings the results can be impressive
The focus of this collection is creating expression by use of natural light, alternative light, colour casts and shadows. In photography the "Golden Hour" is the first and last hour of sunlight in the day. On a good day during this so-called magical hour the sky is lit up with soft golden light projecting the same tones onto the subject or scene. Another technique used in this album is known as the "Blue Hour" which occurs shortly before sunrise and just after when the sun is a just a few degrees below the horizon.
The blurred effects in this collection are created by using a ND filter. (Neutral Density) This is basically a tinted piece of glass attached to the end of your lens. ND filters range from a slight tint all the way up to super dark glass which you can''t even see through. These filters allow the photographer to open the shutter for extended lengths even in bright sunlight. The effects can be quite dramatic if used properly. I personally use Haida brand filters and accessories. My favourite is the the Haida ND 4.5 super stopper. huge 15 stops!
Night photography is in a world of its own. Long exposures, dramatic light streaks, street lights, fireworks and beyond. I like this style because even a novice photographer can produce amazing images with little experience and basic equipment.
This collection includes snapshots of miscellaneous subjects and scenes that may be a good memory, good place to eat, fun place to visit etc.
